Strategies to help

Break up tasks
Reduce the amount of material a student is expected to complete.
Keep new information or instructions concise.
Simplify lesson plans by providing verbal cues.

Relatability
Relate the material to something your child/student can understand.
Provide the information in multiple formats; spoken word, visually, or interactively via tactile methods.

Repetition
Be prepared to deliver your instructions more than once.
Use visual reminders as clues to next steps: posters, handouts, whiteboards, sticky notes, songs, etc.
